There are few moments in life that truly stop you in your tracks — and watching the sunrise over Phang Nga Bay from Samet Nangshe is one of them. This extraordinary viewpoint, tucked away just 90 minutes from Phuket, Thailand, is a must-see for any traveller in Southeast Asia.
At Fames Travel LLC, we’re passionate about connecting you with unforgettable moments like these. Whether you’re a seasoned explorer or planning your first overseas adventure, our website Pro.Trip.Click. — including myself, Anthony Davis, with over 40 years in the industry — have optimised the site to help you find the perfect journey to Thailand’s most scenic sunrise.
The incredible sunrise at Samet Nangshe viewpoint
Why Samet Nangshe?
Samet Nangshe sits high above Phang Nga Bay, offering panoramic views of limestone karsts rising from the sea. The sun rises directly over the islands, casting glowing colours across the sky and creating one of the most photogenic scenes in Thailand.
Our travel team at Fames Travel have personally experienced this incredible sunrise and want you to experience the same.

What To Expect
There are two main viewpoints: the public Samet Nangshe Viewpoint and the higher vantage points at the Samet Nangshe Boutique Hotel. Both deliver jaw-dropping views.
If you’re coming for sunrise, expect an early start. A 4×4 shuttle takes you up the 800-metre hill, or you can hike if you’re feeling adventurous. At the top, you’ll find cafés, photo props, and even the option to camp or stay in hillside bungalows. Our visitors often combine this experience with a visit to James Bond Island or a Thai cooking class — we can arrange it all.
Where To Stay
For maximum comfort and a front-row seat to the sunrise, we recommend staying at the Samet Nangshe Boutique Hotel. With sweeping views, an infinity pool, and optional private pool villas, it’s a perfect blend of nature and luxury.
